The first NASTA meeting will take place on April 29, 2021 and is currently scheduled from 10:00am to 18:00pm CEST (UTC+2). The event will be completely free.
In this first update post, we would like to inform you of our collaboration with Archon Research School, the registration process, and the call for papers. But before we do that, we would like to thank you. To say that we are overwhelmed by the great response to the conference thus far would be an understatement, so we thank you for engaging, sharing, preliminarily registering, submitting your abstracts, and so on!
1. NASTA 2021 is a free event thanks to the generous funding of Archon Research School of Archaeology. It is thanks to Archon that we were able to build this website and it has given us the opportunity to use the conference platform Hopin.to. Our collaboration with Archon also means that we are an official Archon event. Members of Archon can therefore earn credits by participating. For more information on obtaining credits, please click here for our page on the Archon website.
2. The preliminary registration is currently open. If you register via the website, you will be placed on the mailing list. When the official registration opens up via Hopin you will receive a notification to finish your registration there!
3. We are still looking for papers. The call for papers ends on March 10 2021, and whether you are a graduate student, PhD student or have been working in your field for decades, you are more than welcome to send in an abstract. This is an inclusive conference and we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable space to share your work with our audience.
If you have any questions about registering, submitting your abstract, or anything else that we have not addressed yet, you are more than welcome to send us an email to nastarchaeology@gmail.com, to contact us on any of our social media platforms, or to simply fill in the contact form. We hope to see you on the 29th of April!
